The demand for Senegalese potatoes is set to reach 111,000 metric tons by 2026, growing by an average of 0.6% year on year. This is up from 107,000 metric tons in 2021, when the country ranked 102nd in the world. The United Arab Emirates overtook Senegal in 2021, with India, the United States, and Russia following closely in second, third and fourth place respectively. Senegalese potato production is also expected to increase, reaching 197,500 metric tons by 2026, a 4.5% average increase year on year. Since 1966, supply has grown 17.5% year on year. In 2021, Senegal was ranked 96th, just behind Croatia at 151,100 metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine followed in second, third and fourth place respectively.
