The growth rate of 0.6% year-on-year translates to an increase from 146,000 metric tons in 2021. Since 1966, the supply of potatoes in the Dominican Republic has risen by 0.8% year-on-year. It ranked 148th in 2021, behind Montserrat at 146,000 metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine came in second, third and fourth in the ranking, respectively. Meanwhile, Dominican potato consumption grew to 1,000 metric tons in 2018 from 1,000 metric tons in 2017. It is estimated that the country's potato consumption will reach 1.1 thousand metric tons in 2021.
