In 2021, Guatemala was the 82nd largest potato consumer in the world, following Jordan with 204,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Russia ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Meanwhile, Guatemalan potato production is forecast to reach 637,970 metric tons in 2026, a 1.3% year on year CAGR since 1966. In 2021, the country was the 56th largest potato producer in the world, behind the Czech Republic at 590,670 metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine came in second, third and fourth respectively.
