By 2026, Zimbabwe's potato consumption is predicted to remain at 58,000 metric tons, the same as in 2021. This would be a 0.6% decrease since 2017. Zimbabwe trails Costa Rica significantly, which is currently at 58,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Russia are ranked second, third and fourth in this sector, respectively. In terms of production, Zimbabwe is expected to drop to 9,190 metric tons by 2026, a 4.2% decrease from 2021. Since 1966, the country has seen a 3.4% annual decrease in production. Mauritius is leading the way with 11,820 metric tons, while India, Russia and Ukraine follow in second, third and fourth place.
