Central African potato consumption is forecast to remain stable over the next five years, reaching 1,000 metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 146th in the world, with Cambodia ahead at the same amount. India, the US and Russia ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Meanwhile, Central African potato production is expected to increase by 1.1% year-on-year CAGR, reaching 1,610 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, the country has seen a steady rise of 1.7% each year. In 2021, Belize topped the rankings with 1,510 metric tons, followed by India, Russia and Ukraine.
