Namibian potato consumption is expected to drop to 34,000 metric tons by 2026, down 1.1% on average each year since 2021. The country was 114th in the ranking that year, with Mauritania overtaking them at 36,000 metric tons. India, the US and Russia came in second, third and fourth place respectively. Production levels are set to rise to 23,280 metric tons by 2026, growing by 2.6% annually since 2021. Namibia was 122nd in the ranking that year, with Montenegro just ahead. India, Russia and Ukraine were in second, third and fourth place.
