This is a 0.4% decrease year-on-year since 2017. The Czech Republic overtook Portugal, coming in at 636 thousand metric tons. India, the United States and Russia hold the top three positions in the ranking. Portugal's production of potatoes is also set to decline. In 2021, the country ranked 65th in the world, with 416,280 metric tons. This represents a 1.6% decrease year-on-year since 1966. Saudi Arabia overtook Portugal, at 456,960 metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine held the top three positions in the ranking.
