Polish demand for potatoes is expected to drop over the next five years. In 2021, the country consumed 3,770 thousand metric tons of potatoes, ranking ninth globally. Iran overtook Poland with 3,720 thousand metric tons of potatoes. India, the United States, and Russia were the top three consumers with 9,073, 4,550 and 4,240 thousand metric tons respectively. Polish production of potatoes is also set to decline in the next five years. In 2021, the country produced 5,916,500 metric tons of potatoes, ranking tenth globally. The Netherlands overtook Poland with 3,981,700 metric tons of potatoes. India, Russia and Ukraine were the top three producers with 36,744, 20,664 and 16,000 thousand metric tons respectively.
