At the same time, the country's production of potatoes is expected to drop by 8.2% on average each year, to 176,710 metric tons in 2026. In 2021, Hungary was 81st in the world in production, with 289,200 metric tons. Iraq overtook Hungary, with 289,200 metric tons, while India, Russia and Ukraine came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place in this ranking.
