Slovakia's potato consumption is forecast to reach around 310,000 metric tons by 2026, according to a recent report. This represents an increase of 0.4% per year on average since 2017. In 2021, Slovakia came in at 66th place in the global rankings, overtaken by Myanmar at 305,000 metric tons. India, the United States and Russia ranked second, third and fourth, respectively. Slovak potato production is expected to reach 131,300 metric tons by 2026, down 3.4% year-on-year on average since 1998. In 2021, Slovakia placed 93rd in the global rankings, with Uganda ahead at 161,000 metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine ranked second, third and fourth, respectively.
