In 2021, the country ranked 6th in the world, behind Bangladesh with 6.3 million metric tons. India, the United States, and Russia were the top three potato-consuming countries. Ukraine is expected to produce 20.8 million metric tons of potatoes by 2026, down 0.1% year on year. Since 1997, the supply has decreased by 0.8% annually. In 2021, Russia took the lead with 20.9 million metric tons, while India, Russia, and Ukraine followed in the top four.
