In 2021, the Maldives ranked 133rd globally in terms of potato consumption, with 7,000 metric tons. Papua New Guinea consumed slightly more than the Maldives at 7,000 metric tons, while India, the United States and Russia ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
