In 2021, the country was the 27th largest consumer of potatoes, having been overtaken by Argentina. India, the US and Russia ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Belarusian potato production is projected to fall by 1.4% year on year to 5.34 million metric tons by 2026. Since 1997, the country's supply has decreased by 0.6% annually. In 2021, Poland had the largest production of 5.82 million metric tons. India, Russia and Ukraine followed in second, third and fourth place.
