Argentina's chickpea production is set to surge 20% over the next five years. In 2021, the country produced nearly 160,000 metric tons of chickpeas, putting it in 11th place globally. Iran produced the most, followed by Myanmar, Russia and Ethiopia. Since 1966, Argentina's production has grown by an average of 21.7% year-on-year. This trend is expected to continue, with an estimated growth rate of 3.3% annually between 2021 and 2026, reaching a total of nearly 197,000 metric tons by the end of the period.
