Hungarian chickpea production is expected to reach almost 180,000 metric tons by 2026. This is a 2.6% year-on-year increase from the 150,000 metric tons recorded in 2021. Since 1996, Hungarian supply has risen an average of 3.6% year-on-year. In the 2021 ranking, Hungary was placed 48th, with Slovakia overtaking the nation at 150,000 metric tons. Myanmar, Russia and Ethiopia were the top three producers, respectively.
