Kazakhstan is set to become one of the top lentil producers in the world by 2026. According to data, lentil production in the country is expected to reach 174,000 metric tons in 2026, up 2.6% from 2021. This is a slight increase since 1997, when it was up 1.3% year-on-year. In 2021, Kazakhstan came in ninth in terms of production, with 149,040 metric tons. Russia was the top producer, while India, Australia, and the United States followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
