Sri Lankan cashew production is expected to increase to 52,130 metric tons by 2026. This marks an average year-on-year growth rate of 3.8%, a significant increase since 1966, when it saw an average growth rate of 17.5%. In 2021, Sri Lanka was ranked 16th in production, with Nigeria leading the way at 41,480 metric tons. India, Burundi and Vietnam came in at numbers 2, 3 and 4 respectively.
