Colombia is set to see a steady increase in its peanut consumption and production over the next five years. In 2021, the country ranked 59th for consumption at 32 thousand metric tons and 74th for production at 4,660 metric tons. Comparably, Sri Lanka and Cuba respectively overtook Colombia for consumption and production at 32 thousand metric tons and 4,660 metric tons. India, Nigeria and the United States were the top three countries for both consumption and production. By 2026, Colombian peanut consumption is expected to reach 35.01 thousand metric tons and production is forecasted to be 5,100 metric tons. On average, consumption and production are expected to grow by 1.6% and 1.5% year on year. Since 2017 and 1966, demand and supply have risen by 1.1% and 2.3% year on year respectively.
