Argentinian demand for peanuts is expected to surge in the coming years. By 2026, consumption is projected to reach 419,600 metric tons, up 1.8% year on year on average since 2021. In 2021, Argentina ranked 15th worldwide in terms of peanut consumption with 378,000 metric tons. Burkina Faso was ahead in this ranking, while India, Nigeria and the United States came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place, respectively. On the production side, Argentina's supply of peanuts is also set to increase. By 2026, production is expected to reach 1,543,100 metric tons, up 2.6% year on year on average since 2021. In 2021, Argentina ranked 7th worldwide in terms of peanut production with 1,323,900 metric tons. Senegal was ahead in this ranking, while India, Nigeria and the United States came in 2nd, 3rd and 4th place respectively.
