Kazakhstan’s peanut consumption is set to reach almost 20 thousand metric tons by 2026. This growth is a 1.8% year-on-year CAGR since 2017, when demand remained stable. In 2021, Kazakhstan was ranked 73rd in the world, behind Cambodia’s 18 thousand metric tons. India, Nigeria, and the United States were the next three countries in the ranking. Kazakhstan’s peanut production was close to 16 metric tons in 2021, down 39.9% from 26.6 metric tons in 2020. This decrease is in line with the 18.7% year-on-year decline since 1997. Belize overtook Kazakhstan in 2021 with 16 metric tons. India, Nigeria, and the United States were again the next three countries in the ranking.
