Belizean peanut production is set to drop 5.5% year on year, on average, to about 50 metric tons by 2026. It has been on a downward trend since 1994, with a 13.1% decrease year on year. In 2021, Belize was ranked 100th in the world for peanut production, with 71 metric tons. Honduras led the ranking with 71 metric tons, followed by India, Nigeria and the United States.
