Peanut consumption in Nepal is set to increase over the next five years. In 2021, Nepalese demand was 12 thousand metric tons - up 2.9% from 2017. This made Nepal the 83rd largest consumer of peanuts in the world. Serbia, India, Nigeria and the US were the top four consumers, with 12, 8.5, 7.1 and 6.7 thousand metric tons respectively. By 2026, Nepal is expected to consume 14 thousand metric tons of peanuts, representing a 3.1% average year on year growth.
