The country was number 90 in 2018. India, China and the United States ranked as number 2, 3 and 4 respectively in this ranking. In 2021, the country ranked 76th in production, with Colombia overtaking it at 4,320 metric tons. India, Nigeria and the United States followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively. Consumption of peanuts in East Timor was 5,000 metric tons in 2018, up from the previous year. This put the country in 90th place globally. India, China and the US occupied the top three spots.
