Sweden's salmon imports are expected to reach a staggering 570 million kilograms by 2026. This is a 2.2% increase per year since 2021, when imports totalled 494 million kilograms. Since 1997, demand for salmon has increased by 1.2% year-on-year. Poland, the United States and France follow Sweden in the ranking of highest levels of imports. Exports of Swedish salmon are also set to rise to 548 million kilograms by 2026. This is a 2.3% average annual increase since 2021, when exports totalled 472 million kilograms. Since 1997, supply has increased by 1.2% year-on-year. Norway tops the list of main exporters, followed by Sweden, Chile and the United Kingdom.
