Egypt's frozen fish import and export is booming. By 2026, the country is expecting to import $677.9 million worth of frozen fish, a 3.1% year-on-year growth since 1999. In 2021, Egypt came in ninth place, behind Portugal's $563.9 million. Japan, Thailand, and South Korea followed as the second, third, and fourth-highest importers, respectively. Exports of frozen fish in Egypt are also on the rise. By 2026, the country is expecting to export $1.56 billion worth of frozen fish, a 3.3% year-on-year growth since 1999. In 2021, Egypt came in 78th place, behind Austria's $1.27 billion in exports. Russia, the United States, and Chile were the second, third, and fourth-highest exporters, respectively.
