Belize ranked number 77 in 2018, decreasing from number 73 in 2017. Thailand, China, and Vietnam ranked respectively in the second, third and fourth positions in this ranking. Belizean frozen fish imports are projected to reach $8,830 by 2026. This represents a decline of 0.8% from 2021 levels of $9,250. Since 1998, demand has dropped by 10.9% year-on-year. In 2021, Belize was ranked 138th, overtaken by Burundi at $9,250. Japan, Thailand and South Korea followed in the rankings at 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively. Belizean Frozen Fish Export saw a dramatic decline in 2018, totalling $21,360 compared to $69,270 in 2017 – a decrease of 69.2%. Since 1997 the supply has dropped by 47.4% year-on-year. Belize was ranked 77th in 2018, down from 73rd in 2017. Thailand, China, and Vietnam followed in the rankings at 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
