The export and import of frozen fish in the United Arab Emirates is set to grow significantly in the coming years. In 2021, the country exported $32 million worth of frozen fish, a 2.3% annual increase since 2012. This boosted its rank to 51st in the world, outstripping Estonia's $32 million exports. Russia, the United States and Chile were the top three exporters. Imports of frozen fish in the UAE are forecast to reach $97.6 million by 2026, growing at a 3.2% compound annual growth rate since 2021. In 2021, the country imported $80.9 million worth of frozen fish, a 7.8% annual increase since 2012. This placed it 43rd in the world, surpassing Saudi Arabia's $80.9 million imports. Japan, Thailand and South Korea were the top three importers.
