In 2021, the country was ranked 16th with 16.8 million kilograms, while Australia ranked first. China, Spain and Japan followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Icelander shrimp exports have decreased 13.9% since 2017, standing at 218,830 kilograms in 2018. Compared to 1993, the supply has dropped by 25.2% on average every year.
