Meanwhile, imports are projected to reach 79.17 million kilograms by 2026, expanding at a rate of 1.2% year-on-year. Since 1999, Italian demand has grown by 2.3% annually. In 2021, Italy was 6th in the rankings, with France overtaking them at 73.34 million kilograms. China, Spain and Japan were 2nd, 3rd and 4th respectively.
