In 2021, Ireland ranked 45th, overtaken by Lebanon's 2.5 million kilograms. China, Spain and Japan ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Irish exports of shrimp, however, are forecast to fall 1.2% year-on-year to 853,550 kilograms by 2026. Since 1997, Irish supply has grown 0.1% year-on-year. In 2021, the country ranked 47th, with Costa Rica taking the lead at 913,730 kilograms. Ecuador, Argentina and Indonesia came in second, third and fourth in the ranking respectively.
