Croatian greenhouse gas emissions are projected to drop by 1.2% annually over the next five years. This comes after a decrease of 1.9% year-on-year since 1995. In 2021, Croatia ranked 91st in the world for greenhouse gas emissions, with 14.36 million metric tons. Ethiopia was ahead of Croatia with the same amount of emissions, while the United States, India and Russia respectively ranked 2nd, 3rd and 4th with much higher levels of emissions. By 2026, Croatia is expected to reach 13.52 million metric tons of greenhouse gas emissions.
