Belarus’ greenhouse gas emissions are expected to dip slightly by 2026. Last year, the country ranked 51st in the world with a total of 55.3 million metric tons. This was a 0.9% increase from 1995. Austria overtook Belarus in 2021, with 54.7 million metric tons. The United States, India and Russia took the top three spots in the rankings, respectively.
