Despite this projected downturn, Nepal's coffee production saw an 8% year-on-year increase since 2008. In 2023, Nepal ranked 50th in global coffee production, with Malawi overtaking it at 1,020 bags. Vietnam, Colombia, and Indonesia were the top three producers, holding the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th spots, respectively.
