Kenya saw a significant jump in exports and imports of glass fiber in 2018. Exports of glass fiber from Kenya rose 140% in 2018, reaching 11,040 kilograms compared to 4,600 kilograms the year before. This was a 4.7% jump in exports since 1997. Macedonia overtook Kenya in 2018, coming in at number 74 with 11,040 kilograms of exports. Belgium, Germany and Saudi Arabia ranked second, third and fourth respectively. Imports of glass fiber to Kenya also saw a dramatic increase in 2018, rising 82.5% to 517,550 kilograms from 283,600 kilograms in 2017. Imports have gone up 23.2% since 2002.
