Japan's import and export of glass fiber is set to increase and decrease over the next five years. Imports are expected to grow at a CAGR of 3.3% from 2021 to 2026, bringing the total to 24,752,000 kilograms by 2026. This is an increase of 10.7% since 1993. Exports, meanwhile, are set to decline at a yearly average rate of 5.1%, from 2,258,000 kilograms in 2021 to 1,664,400 kilograms by 2026. This is a decrease of 9.1% since 1993. Japan was the 27th largest exporter of glass fiber in 2021, with Hungary in first place at 2,258,000 kilograms. Belgium, Germany and Saudi Arabia followed in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
