Honduran exports of glass fiber dropped 26% in 2021, down to just over 410,000 kilograms from 555,000 kilograms in 2020. This continues a downward trend since 2004, when exports dropped 34%. Honduras was in 92nd place in the ranking of countries, topped by Trinidad and Tobago with 410,900 kilograms. Belgium, Germany, and Saudi Arabia followed in second, third, and fourth place respectively. Meanwhile, imports of glass fiber into Honduras are expected to grow 3% year on year, reaching 447,000 kilograms by 2026. This is up from 373,000 kilograms in 2021, a 13.7% rise since 1999. Seychelles topped the 2021 ranking, followed by Netherlands, Germany, and China in second, third, and fourth place respectively.
