Cameroon's import of glass fibre is set to reach nearly 45,000 kg by 2026, up 1.5% annually on average. This growth is down on the 4.3% average rate since 2000. Exports of glass fibre also increased significantly in 2017, with 381 kg sent abroad – 3,360% higher than the 11 kg exported in 2016. However, this is a 23.3% drop compared to 2008. Cameroon was ranked 93rd in 2017, with Cyprus the leading exporter at 381 kg. Belgium, Germany and Saudi Arabia were the next largest exporters.
