Since 2017, the global supply of glass fiber has jumped by 4.2% annually. The leading producer of glass fiber in 2021 was China, with 149 million kilograms exported. Belgium, Germany and Saudi Arabia followed in second, third and fourth place respectively. Malta saw the biggest annual growth in glass fiber exports over the 2017-2021 period, up 173%. On the other hand, Botswana witnessed the largest decrease, falling 78%.
