Malta saw a dramatic 172.9% rise in supply of glass fiber between 2005 and 2018. In 2018, Brazil overtook Malta, coming in at number 48 with 123,860 Kilograms, while Belgium, Germany, and Saudi Arabia followed in the next three spots. Malta's own glass fiber import increased 52.5% between 2017 and 2018, reaching 11,060 Kilograms in 2018. However, over the last 13 years, demand has decreased by 37%.
