Romania imported nearly 547,000 kilograms of glass fiber in 2021, a 25.5 percent drop from the previous year. Since 1997, its demand has decreased by 16.3 percent year-on-year. Meanwhile, Romanian glass fiber exports are forecast to reach 290,590 kilograms by 2026, down 6 percent year-on-year on average. Since 1996, Romanian supply has grown 2.8 percent year-on-year. In 2021, Romania ranked 42nd in the world. Morocco led with 415,690 kilograms, followed by Belgium, Germany and Saudi Arabia in second, third and fourth place, respectively.
