Mozambique's maize consumption is expected to drop by 600,000 tons by 2026. This year, the country ranked 31st in the world, with North Korea overtaking it at 1.1 million tons. India, China, and Indonesia followed in the second, third, and fourth spots respectively. In the meantime, Mozambique's maize production is projected to increase by more than 320,000 tons by 2026. This year, the country was again ranked 43rd in the world, with Zambia taking the lead at 2.2 million tons. China, Brazil and Argentina occupied the second, third and fourth spots respectively.
