Dominican maize consumption is expected to remain stable at around 51,000 metric tons through 2026. This figure has been the same since 2017, and puts the country at number 100, just behind Macedonia. India, China and Indonesia came in second, third and fourth, respectively. Meanwhile, Dominican maize production is projected to reach 55,210 metric tons in 2026, representing a 1.5% year-on-year CAGR. Since 1966, the supply has increased by 3.9% each year, placing the country at 109th in the ranking, just behind Bhutan. China, Brazil and Argentina were the top three producers.
