Zimbabwe's maize consumption is predicted to hit 1.4 million metric tons by 2026, according to a recent survey. This is a 0.7% year-on-year increase since 2017. In 2021, the country placed 27th in the rankings, while Morocco came in first at 1.4 million metric tons. India, China, and Indonesia took second, third and fourth place, respectively. In terms of production, Zimbabwe's maize output is expected to fall by 1.2% annually to 887,000 metric tons by 2026. Since 1966, the country's supply has grown 13.6% year-on-year. In 2021, Zimbabwe was placed 62nd, with Chile taking the lead at 967,000 metric tons. China, Brazil and Argentina held second, third and fourth places respectively.
