In 2021, Ukraine overtook the country to become the largest maize importer, while India, China and Indonesia took the second, third and fourth spots respectively. Meanwhile, the country's maize production is forecast to grow at a CAGR of 3.2%, reaching 5,104,300 metric tons by 2026. Spain surpassed Malian maize production in 2021, while China, Brazil and Argentina came in second, third and fourth respectively.
