Greek maize consumption is expected to remain flat over the next five years, with 18 thousand metric tons estimated for 2026. In 2021, the Republic of the Congo topped the rankings with 18 thousand metric tons, while Greece was 111th. India, China and Indonesia followed in second, third and fourth places respectively. Meanwhile, Greek maize production is forecast to drop by 6.8% annually over the same period, from 1.07 million metric tons in 2021 to 714.96 thousand metric tons in 2026. In 2021, Bosnia and Herzegovina was the front runner with 1.07 million metric tons, while Greece ranked 61st. China, Brazil and Argentina placed second, third and fourth respectively.
