Maize production in the Maldives is expected to increase to around 200 metric tons by 2026, according to the latest figures. The supply has been rising at a rate of around 2% per year since 1966. In 2021, the country was ranked 152nd in maize production, behind Dominica which produced 174 metric tons. China, Brazil and Argentina were the top three producers.
