Nepalese maize consumption is set to reach 1.3 million metric tons by 2026. Last year, the country ranked 29th, and Cameroon was ahead with 1.2 million metric tons. India, China and Indonesia were second, third, and fourth respectively. Nepalese maize production is also expected to rise to 3.03 million metric tons by 2026. In 2021, the country ranked 36th, and Uganda was ahead with 2.74 million metric tons. China, Brazil, and Argentina were second, third, and fourth respectively. Since 1966, Nepalese supply has increased by an average of 4.2% year on year.
