Wheat consumption in Brazil is predicted to reach 11.5 million tonnes by 2026. This is a 0.3% year-on-year growth rate since 2021, when the country was in 8th place with 11.3 million tonnes. This is down by 0.7% since 2017. Iran overtook Brazil with 11.3 million tonnes, while India, the US and Pakistan were the top three ranked countries. Brazilian wheat production is set to reach 5.8 million tonnes by 2026, with an average 0.6% year-on-year growth rate since 2021, when the country came in 22nd place with 5.6 million tonnes. This is a 3.9% decrease since 1966. Uzbekistan overtook Brazil with 5.6 million tonnes, while India, Russia and the US held the top three spots.
