Malaysia's wheat consumption is projected to reach 1.7 million metric tons by 2026, growing at an average annual rate of 1%. Since 2017, demand for wheat in the country has risen by 1.1% every year. In 2021, Malaysia was ranked 41st in terms of wheat consumption, with Peru taking the lead at 1.6 million metric tons. India, the United States and Pakistan followed closely behind, respectively occupying the second, third, and fourth spots in the rankings.
