Production of wheat in Kuwait rose 77.8% in 2019, to 16 metric tons from 9 metric tons in 2018. Since 1990, Kuwaiti wheat production has decreased by 22.2% year-on-year. In 2019, Kuwait ranked 119th in the world, overtaken by New Caledonia at 16 metric tons. India, Russia and the United States respectively ranked second, third and fourth.
